Walk-in barber in Kennington: no appointment needed
Most people don't plan a haircut days ahead. You catch it in the mirror and want it sorted today. That is what a walk-in barber is for, and it is how Porsopher Barber on Kennington Road works: come in during opening hours and you are seen in turn.
Where to find us
We are at 327a Kennington Road, London SE11 4QE. Kennington and Oval tube stations are both a short walk away. Look for the black shopfront with gold lettering and a red door.
Opening hours
- Monday to Friday: 9:30am to 7pm
- Saturday: 9am to 5pm
- Sunday: closed
You can walk in at any point in those hours. There is no need to phone ahead.

Prices are fixed and shown in full on our price list:

You pay in the shop after your cut, by cash or card.
When is the quietest time to walk in?
Barber shops tend to be busiest on Saturdays and in the hour or two after offices close. If you can come on a weekday morning or early afternoon, you are less likely to wait.
Prefer a set time? Book a morning slot
If your day only works with a fixed time, you can book online for Tuesday and Wednesday mornings between 9:30am and 11:30am. Every other time is walk-in.
What to tell your barber
A good cut starts with a clear brief. Three things help most:
- A photo. One picture of the cut you want is worth five minutes of description.
- How short on the sides. Say whether you want skin, a short clipper length or scissors only.
- How you style it. Tell us if you use product, part it or leave it to dry on its own.
